Well, here’s a FUN way to give them a whole new life! Join us at Lala’s Craft Bowl and learn how to create your very own Amish Knot Rag Rug, also known as a Toothbrush Needle Rag Rug! This traditional rug-making technique uses strips of fabric and a simple handmade needle to create beautiful, durable rugs — no sewing machine, knitting needles, or crochet hooks required! 🧶 WHAT WILL YOU LEARN? We’ll start by making our very own toothbrush-style rug needles using wire and tape. Then we’ll learn how to prepare our fabric strips and use the Amish Knot technique to begin building a beautiful, colourful rag rug! You’ll learn how to start your rug, work your stitches, and continue adding rows to make it as big as you’d like! ♻️ WHAT DO YOU NEED TO BRING? Bring along some old fabric you’d like to repurpose! Great options include: 👕 Old T-shirts 🛏️ Worn-out bedsheets or duvet covers 🧵 Lightweight cotton fabrics ♻️ Other fabrics that can be easily torn into strips Don’t worry about having everything perfectly prepared!
